2014

Oak Ridge High School
How did you learn about our camp?
Through my cousin!
What was your biggest takeaway and how has it impacted your life?
The YWLC camp has really taught me about loving myself and being confident in who I am. That its ok to be different from everyone else, that it’s ok to stand up in what you believe in and not being afraid to voice your opinion no matter who might object. The YWLC has made me realize that I am worth it and I matter to my friends and family . I’ve really gained a lot of confidence and the principles that were taught at the magnificent camp really inspired me to keep going and pushing myself to be the best individual that I can be. YWLC has installed the principle of community service in me and I have been allowed to really help others in my spare time, family and non family . I truly appreciate why this organization is called the Pangea Network. The name gives me a sense of unification and it make me feel, as well as other young women, that we aren’t alone and that we have to stick together!
Thank you so much for this prestigious award! This means so much to me! I loved working and will continue to work with Pangea!
Sincerely, Cassidy Daniel
What is your favorite thing about YWLC?
My favorite thing about Pangea Network’s YWLC is the fact that everyone becomes so close! I still keep in touch with some of the girls from my year of YWLC as well as some who I’ve met outside of my year! At the YWLC, there were activities and exercises that made us open up and become comfortable and close with everyone and I would love to see everyone again!
