Before we delve into this month’s newsletter we want to tell you about our CALL FOR GRATITUDE! This is a social media project launched by our new social media team!
This Call for Gratitude is for ALL alumni! We want to ask you to email us telling us what you are grateful for and what you are doing to protect, serve, and honor that thing.
Example: “I am grateful for the ocean and to give back, I am picking up litter on the beach and fundraising for the Ocean Conservatory to protect marine wildlife!”
Email karina@thepangeanetwork.org with your gratitudes and a photo of you! A super smiley headshot :)
DEADLINE: Saturday, October 30
It was such a joy to gather online together at the YWLC 2021-2022 Official Fall Meeting at the start of October! The Pangea team is so proud of all the hard work and creative energy that everyone is putting into their TAC’s, as well as all the BRAVE work going into shifting and accommodating what is and isn’t working! We are witnessing a lot of proactive thinking and assertive communication, which is so inspiring!
Check out a few TAC highlights plus links to current YWLC participants’ TAC pages that have recently launched! Spread the word and support one another.
MARY
“My TAC is called Hats for Warmth. For my TAC, I learned how to loom knit and am planning to donate them to the largest homeless shelter in North Texas.

I also taught my little group how to loom knit and lend them my supplies. Consider donating so that my little group can have the supplies needed to knit more hats so that we can have even more hats to donate.”
HALA
“I plan to improve mental health and self-esteem in teens. To begin, I am going to create a video where I compliment a different person every day for a whole year. I plan to post such videos on social media, in pursuit to create a domino effect, where people can have the encouragement to spread kindness. To raise funds, I have created a jewelry business where I can sell jewelry and receive profit to donate to a local mental health organization.”

KATE’S ECO KITS: https://katesecokits.wixsite.com/website
“I am extremely passionate about wildlife, and the environment. Over 1 million marine animals are killed each year due to plastic debris in the ocean. Currently, it is estimated that there are 100 million tons of plastic in oceans around the world. Littering is one of the main causes of this problem. These Kits will contain environmentally friendly paper bags, compostable gloves, trash and recycle bins, as well as a poster with a QR code to my website. These kits are made for local parks and communities. I’m hoping to raise $100 for every 2 “kits”. These kits will be free to the community and park with a $25 restock charge as needed. My goal for December 2021 is to have at least 8 kits around DFW”
Please remember we are here to support and promote your work! If you have any accounts or events you would like us to spread the word about, send it our way! Utilize the network at your fingertips.
