Here are a few ways, thanks to our committed supporters and partners, that The Pangea Network is responding in times of COVID-19?
- Adapting and ultimately enhancing programs, including:
- Taking our YWLC program online, impacting 42 young women and increasing geographic representation to 32 schools, 13 cities and 2 countries
-
- Lowing program costs while heightening impact and quality for program participants
-
- 444 women in our Kenyan Women’s Network have been receiving updated and accurate information on COVID-19 and how to protect themselves and their families
-
- 116 women in our network have received masks and other personal protection equipment (PPE)
-
- 85 women have received emergency food packages
- 252 women have received business mentorship through this crisis
-
- 11 students are receiving full-time shelter and online learning access via Pangea staff
-
- 22 students are beginning a series of health and wellness sessions, including emotional intelligence skills, nutrition, exercise, and sex education
- Cutting our annual budget by 35% – while maintaining organizational integrity and continuity through all staff taking pay cuts and sharing the burden of cost cutting.

With the effort of dedicated supporters and team members, we will meet our 2020 goals of strong and thoughtful program implementation and prepare ourselves for entering 2021 with a clear vision and objectives for increased impact and empowerment.
We thank you for allowing us to show up for our women and youth when they need us most!
