Tell us about yourself

I am a hardworking businesswoman, a wife and mother of 6. I have been interested in business since a tender age when helping my late mother. I trained in tailoring but later found out that I was more passionate about dealing with fast moving commodities. I work hard to provide for my children and ensure they do not lack.

What are you most proud of?

I am proud of my family. My husband and I do our best to make sure the kids are taken care of. We have taken them through school and my last born just joined high school. They have not disappointed us.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned with The Pangea Network?

Pangea taught me how to keep books for my business. Prior to that, I was careless with my records. I learned bookkeeping and have implemented the lessons which has made a great difference in the business. I sell ice-cream and I used to make them using a freezer which took a long time. I could not meet demand since I could only produce a few at a time. Through my savings and a loan from Pangea, I managed to buy an ice cream making machine. I doubled my production, my profit has increased and I have been able to employ 3 more people into the business. I am grateful to Pangea for the support they have provided to me and my group.
