Program Overview
Empowering adolescents with the knowledge, skills, and support they need to make informed decisions, build healthy relationships, and create brighter futures.
At The Pangea Network, we believe every young person deserves access to accurate information, trusted mentors, and opportunities to develop into confident leaders. Our Adolescent Health & Leadership Program provides adolescent girls and boys in Kenya with comprehensive education focused on sexual and reproductive health, communication, life skills, leadership development, and personal well-being.
Through our two complementary initiatives—TUDAI for girls and TUKAI for boys—we create safe spaces where young people can learn, ask questions, build confidence, and develop the tools needed to navigate adolescence successfully.
By engaging parents, guardians, peer educators, and community leaders, we help create supportive environments that empower youth to stay in school, delay early pregnancy, pursue their goals, and contribute positively to their communities.
Why this program matters
Adolescence is a critical time in a young person’s life.
Yet many youth lack access to accurate information about their health, relationships, and future opportunities.
Without support and education, young people are more vulnerable to early pregnancy, school dropout, gender-based violence, and limited economic opportunities.
The Adolescent Health & Leadership Program helps break these cycles by equipping youth with knowledge, confidence, and practical life skills that support healthy decision-making and long-term success.
TUDAI: Empowering Girls
TUDAI creates safe and supportive spaces where adolescent girls can openly discuss topics often surrounded by stigma and misinformation.
Participants explore:
- Sexual and reproductive health
- Self-esteem and confidence
- Leadership development
- Healthy relationships
- Goal setting and future planning
- Communication and decision-making skills
Through peer support, mentorship, and community engagement, girls gain the knowledge and confidence to advocate for themselves, remain in school, and pursue their aspirations.
TUKAI: Engaging Boys as Partners in Change
TUKAI empowers adolescent boys to become respectful leaders, supportive peers, and positive contributors within their families and communities.
Participants learn about:
- Healthy masculinity
- Respectful relationships
- Sexual and reproductive health
- Communication skills
- Leadership and responsibility
- Gender equity and mutual respect
By engaging boys in these conversations, TUKAI helps foster healthier relationships, stronger communities, and shared responsibility for positive outcomes.
Our impact
Building Community Support
Meaningful change requires the involvement of entire communities.
The program actively engages parents, guardians, teachers, community leaders, and trained peer educators to create environments where young people can thrive.
This community-based approach helps reinforce learning, strengthen support systems, and ensure long-term impact beyond the classroom.
