Tell us about yourself

I am 45 years old, a tailor and I run a tailoring business. I was struck by polio when I was 9 months old and delayed walking at until I reached 3 years. I started school when I was 7 years old, sponsored by a well-wisher up to class 6. I managed to finish Primary school but could not proceed to high school as my parents could not afford school fees. I got married, had 1 child and started selling fish to make a living.

What are you most proud of?

In 2013, I managed to enroll for a tailoring course. After that I started my tailoring business. I am proud of my business. I am physically challenged but despite this, I work hard to earn a living.

What is the most important lesson you’ve learned with The Pangea Network?

I recently graduated from Pangea’s 6 months training course. The most important lesson for me was basic business skills. I learned how to keep financial records and manage my business well. I know it will make a huge difference in my business.
