Volunteer Opportunity: The Pangea Network is looking for dedicated and passionate professional women to guide high school girls who are building community service projects through the annual Young Women’s Leadership Challenge (YWLC) program. Your mentorship can have a lifelong impact!

What

YWLC high school participants commit to building a community service project from A–Z! From the beginning of that journey, mentors help two students each navigate the mission, marketing, fundraising, and community building. Check out the types of projects our students work on here.

When

August 2026 - April 2027

Mentors meet with mentees at least 4 times throughout the year (exact dates on application) for 1:1 sessions. The average commitment ranges from 5-25 hours.

Who

Professional women from any sector who have experience in community service, mentorship, human rights, and/or women empowerment.

Where

Remote! Mentoring for YWLC can be done entirely online.

We have set these dates for you to meet with your student - please add it to your calendar.
If the date turns out to not work for you and the student, please adjust accordingly.
These are mandatory meetings.
Any additional meetings are welcome to be determined between you and the student! In previous years some students like to have monthly meetings or bi-monthly check-ins, while others are fine with just these 4 meetings.

September 5th: 1st Meeting

November 7th: 2nd Meeting

February 6th: 3rd Meeting

March 27th: Final Mentor Meeting

DEADLINE TO APPLY AS A MENTOR: July 15, 2026
